Once upon a time, doctors sat down with their patients and listened to what the patients experienced, asking many questions based upon the patient’s experience.
Since the advent of penicillin, medicine (especially North American) has taken the route of “Got a problem? Here’s a pill. Now go home.”
When doctors weren’t able to give me solutions from “research”, I was able to come back from UC with diet, digestive enzymes, probiotics, L-Glutamine and B12. I’d rather be “naive” and healthy.
All i can say is THANK YOU, i have been trying to find natural ways to heal from ulcerative collitis and this has been so hard for me. I am 22 and and have spent so much time in hospitals and doctor rooms to have doctors tell me that i wasn’t really in pain- and if i was it couldn’t be that bad. My dr.s won’t even listen and continue to write prescription after prescription. I finally walked away after the wanted to put me on steroids without even telling me a good diet. so thank you!
That’s great! The only thing I encourage you to do more research on is the bacterial soil organisms contained in the Primal Defense product (from Garden of Life). Go to my blog and type in “bacterial soil organism” and that will pull up my blog posts on it.
all the best! Jini
Well, sorry elitept, but it WORKS. I’m proof. 5 years with hardly any symptoms, and often going to restaurants during that time. Maybe you’re the one who’s naive.
THANK YOU for putting this in point form, and in one video alone! This is exactly the way I was able to recuperate and recover my health. Probiotics (I recommend Garden of Life, and am not related to or affiliated with them), L-Glutamine+B12 for rebuilding tissue in the gut, digestive enzymes (which sped up my reintegration of foods)… and you _are_ right! _Then_ you can travel (I just did, two weekends in a row!) and eat in restaurants. And YES, it is SO worth it!
jinithompson, what ‘research and experimentation’ have you personally conducted? Any?
The reasonings you give can be found on the internet, in books and every clueless person who has brainwashed themselves into thinking they have made some great discovery, when they have in reality found none.
jinithompson, i mock people like you when i see researchers i know in London, and we always look at each other and smile.
jinithompson, you know nothing about IBD. It takes far more to really know.
Yes, it does work for many and usually provides at least relief for almost everyone. I’d like to see every SCDer also begin high dose, therapeutic probiotic supplementation as I believe this would push the success rates even higher.

You haven’t read my books, you haven’t tried any of my protocols.
And you don’t want to.
And that’s okay.
All paths lead to Rome and I wish you all the best on yours.

If seven years of research and experimentation doesn’t put me in the camp of “those who have worked so hard”, I don’t know what will!

The SCD diet works.

An incredibly naive view of inflammatory bowel diseases, and an insult to all those who have worked so hard to find real answers and solution.
